The next Portugal Golf international PGA events in 2010 are: Estoril Open (1st - 4th April), Madeira Open (8th - 11th April), Portugal Masters (14th - 17th October).

15th - 18th October 2009 - The Oceânico Victoria golf course in Vilamoura is once again honoured to welcome some of the World’s greatest golfers, to compete in the Portugal Masters 2009 offering a prize fund of €3m.

Spain’s Alvaro Quiros won the Portugal Masters at the Oceânico Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura after holding off a determined challenge from Europe’s form player, Robert Karlsson. more info

The Alto Golf course in Alvor, Algarve changed its ownership and is now part of Pestana Group joining the other barlavento golf courses Gramacho, Pinta and Silves

Two new courses at Alcantarilha in Algarve, the Faldo and O'Connor belonging to Oceânico Group in the Algarve are now both open for play.

José Filipe Lima achieved the best recent result for a Portuguese golfer on the PGA Tour with equal second place with Bernard Langer at the BMW Open in Germany.

New courses are under construction in the Costa Prata region (north of Lisbon). Three present courses, Campo Real, Golden Eagle and Vimeiro are in the process of being enlarged.
